Manage Your Stress Better

So many times my clients come to me and the ONLY way they know how to manage stress is to workout. Thank GOODNESS I’ve been able to teach people that we need stress management tactics outside of the gym. Stress management looks different for everyone, so I wanted to share a list of things that might work for YOU:

  • Long walks to get some fresh air

  • Adult coloring books

  • Reading/Audio Books

  • Funny TV shows. HIGHLY recommend things like Mom, New Girl, The Office, Parks And Rec, Dead to Me. Anything that will make you smile.

  • Baking

  • Arts and crafts

  • Journaling

  • FaceTiming friends and family

  • Board Games

  • Puzzels

  • Dog snuggles

  • Cat snuggles

  • Video Games

  • Learning a new skill or language

  • Trying new recipes

  • Meditation

  • Listening to podcasts

  • Sitting your butt on the couch without your phone and just relaxing

  • Decluttering the house

There are so many things we can do right now to manage stress. Don’t be afraid to try something new, or just let yourself be lazy for once. We all handle things differently and thats okay. We will ALL get through this!
