I SEE “REVELATION” IN THE NAME. WILL I BE BOMBARDED WITH BIBLE TEACHING?
No. We have a firm faith, and it is the foundation on which the gym was built. However, you will never encounter a time where you are beaten on the head with a Bible or made to feel uncomfortable within the context of religion. We have no expectations of you, other than having a mutual respect. You can absolutely count on the coaches displaying themselves in a professional and respectful manner any time they are in our gym. And children will be welcomed into our facility without the concern of being exposed to inappropriate language, music or behavior.
AM I A GOOD MATCH TO JOIN? / WHAT IF I AM NOT FIT? / I HAVE A PAST INJURY
Absolutely. If you have a desire to improve your physical fitness, then you are perfect for our gym. We cater to children, teens, women, men, grandparents, and expert athletes. Any prescribed workout can be adjusted to meet you, the member, at your current state of fitness. If you have a past injury, you can inform the coach and they will be able to work around the injury for you to effectively perform the exercises. There is always a way.
WHAT IS A TYPICAL CLASS LIKE? WHAT CAN I EXPECT? WHAT IS THE ENVIRONMENT LIKE?
The class is always lead and supervised by the coach. And the workouts are different every day.
The class starts with a general warm up where we want to get the heart rate raised slightly, then we go into stretching and mobilizing. After warming up, the class will have a skill or strength portion that will be taught by the coach and then the class will perform the exercises. After the skill/strength section, the class moves on to the conditioning workout which will deal more with cardiovascular and muscle endurance. The movements of the workout will be taught, discussed, and performed safely before starting the workout. The workout is performed together as a class, the music will be turned up and everyone works hard at their own pace, under the eye of the coach. Typically members encourage each other throughout the entire workout, and the class will not leave until the last person is supported to the end of the workout.
The environment is very positive and up-lifting. No one is ever judged on their skill level– because everyone is performing the SAME workout, to the BEST of their abilities, even if they are not performing the exact same movements, at the same weight. We all just want to be better than we were yesterday.
WHAT ARE MY MEMBERSHIP DUES FUNDING?
As a member, we want you to understand the purpose of our gym. Our purpose is to serve the community, both within our four walls and outside. We want to serve the members of our gym, through fitness and community. We also strive to serve the surrounding community that we live in. Therefore, our coaches and owners are receiving little to no compensation. Your monthly dues go straight toward OPERATING COSTS ALONG: the lease of the gym, utilities, equipment, etc. If any additional funds exist, they are being INTENTIONALLY rerouted to efforts of service within our community. We have a passion for fitness, the knowledge of fitness, and we want to use that to make our respective communities just a little bit better.
WHAT TYPE OF SERVICE IS OFFERED?
We subscribe to fitness training which we believe is “functional” to your everyday life. It is programmed through a daily mixture of interval training, calisthenics, plyometrics, and olympic weightlifting, and powerlifting. The movements coached also align more closely to your tasks as a normal human being.
